Two advanced courses — Mass Balance and ISO 17065 — to be delivered live online for organic inspectors and certification professionals in Korean language.
The Isidor Sustainability Research Institute (ISRI), a cosponsor in South Korea will offer a series of IOIA Advanced Online Trainings in autumn 2026. The program brings two specialized, in-demand topics to organic inspectors, certification body staff, and industry professionals through live, instructor-led video sessions.
The trainings cover two subjects, each delivered as a one-day live online course:
Understanding Mass Balance and Using the App — Friday, September 18, 2026
Applying ISO 17065 to Organic Certification — offered on three dates with identical content: Wednesday, October 14; Thursday, October 15; and Friday, October 16, 2026
The Mass Balance course explains the mass-balance principle that underpins credible organic and sustainability claims along the supply chain, with hands-on practice using a dedicated calculation app.
The ISO 17065 course shows how the international standard for product-certification bodies applies in day-to-day organic certification work. Because the three ISO 17065 sessions are identical, participants register for the single date most convenient for them.
All sessions are conducted fully online via live video (Zoom), including small-group practice in breakout rooms. Each session is limited to 20 participants and filled on a first-come, first-served basis. Participants are assessed using the official IOIA Exam Form at the end of each course, and those scoring 80% or higher receive an official IOIA certificate of completion.
The trainings are led by Isidor Yu (Yu Byeong Deok), who has served as an IOIA Lead Trainer since 2008 and is a member of the IOIA Asia-Pacific Committee (APC).
Enrollment and full program details are available on the official registration site: https://yusozang.github.io/ioia-advanced-2026/. For inquiries, contact ISRI at isidor.yu@gmail.com.
